Wheelchair for Thor the Dog

PROBLEM

Thor, a dog who lost both front legs in an accident, was rescued by his owner, who contacted Bolt to develop a 3D project for a customized wheelchair to enable him to move around again. The project garnered social attention, and a successful crowdfunding campaign was conducted, reaching the $300 goal to cover the project costs.

SOLUTION

We conducted an ergonomic study of Thor to design a tailored wheelchair. After the 3D design, we partnered with the company Atlas Consultoria Jr. to bring the idea to life with the help of a 3D printer.

With the customized wheelchair, Thor gained greater mobility and, consequently, an improved quality of life.
