Have you ever heard of the Junior Enterprise Movement (MEJ)?
The movement originated in France in 1967 and came to Brazil in 1988. The acronym is small, but the ambition is big: to prepare university students for entrepreneurship. Through hands-on business experience during their undergraduate studies, MEJ focuses on enhancing skills such as leadership, communication, and teamwork.
MEJ's mission goes beyond entrepreneurship. The movement believes in building a more entrepreneurial, competitive country with better companies, governments, and universities. It envisions a more ethical, educated, and collaborative Brazil, with the formation of leaders who will drive positive change in the country.
A junior enterprise is exclusively formed by undergraduate students who are required to present ideas, manage all projects, and handle all procedures just like a real company. It's a unique opportunity for you to experience firsthand the responsibilities of running a business in the real world.
Brasil Júnior (Brazilian Confederation of Junior Enterprises) is the organization that represents the movement at the national level, closely monitoring the progress of these enterprises. Through state and national meetings, the movement facilitates integration and networking, crucial for the young entrepreneurs' integration into the job market.
Founded in 1995, FEJEMG - Federation of Junior Enterprises of the State of Minas Gerais - represents and develops junior enterprises and entrepreneurs in the state of Minas Gerais.
